The Canadian National Railroad to Close for Emergency Repairs to Railroad Crossing Antioch, IL-The Canadian National Railroad has informed the Lake County Division of Transportation it will be closing the railroad crossing on North Avenue for emergency repairs. The closure of the crossing will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26 and is scheduled to reopen late afternoon on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Detour Route: The signed detour route for this closure will be Illinois Route 83, to Illinois Route 173, to Deep Lake Road. Local traffic will be allowed from Illinois Route 83 to the crossing and from the crossing to Deep Lake Road.

Your voice is critical in shaping the Village’s future. Along with the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan, the proposed “Zoning Ordinance” will have a tremendous impact on how the Village will physically develop over the next twenty years or so.
