The Village of Antioch is seeking a qualified firm to provide environmental and engineering services for the redevelopment site on the map linked below. The Village finished acquisition of the site in December of 2020. Sequoit Creek bisects the site in an existing failed culvert (partially removed). The Village has retained a consultant to study alternative uses and produce a redevelopment plan for the site with the likely final use to be approved in fall of 2021. The Lake County Division of Transportation will be closing North Avenue between Deep Lake Road and US 45 to through traffic for a culvert replacement. The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 21 and is scheduled to reopen late afternoon on Friday, June 25. Local traffic will have access from North Avenue east of Deep Lake Road to Lamplighter Lane and from US 45/Bristol Road to just east, but not up to Lamplighter Lane. The construction zone will be closed to all through traffic. The signed detour route for this closure will be Deep Lake Road to IL 173 to US 45. Three additional culverts on North Avenue will also be replaced without the need for a full closure. This will require daily lane closures at times during the day with the use of one lane traffic control and flaggers.
